For those that have used hammers and know their performance , accuracy velocity gain penetration at any distance point blank too as far as you can accurately shoot with steller terminal performance etc I would be surprised if you found one nagative review of Hammer bullets they are a game changer
I like the mono bullets have tried Barnes LRX, TTSX, TSX shoot stuoopid easy to make accurate.... Will try hammers eventually.

OY...lots of numbers gackola, curious what kind of groups have you gotten out of all 3 of them @ 500 yards?
Went and shot 600 yard groups this morning. The orange dot is 3".

The yellow is Nosler 150AB at .040off
Blue is .070off
Next pic is the 124HH
Red is .015 off
Blue is .030 off

I'm pretty stoked for a factory gun with zero mods

@ GrayCreed,..
Yup,. I had heard that, the ABLR's were better "Killers" ( as "softer" ) than, the reg. AB's !
Also had heard that, not everyone, could get them, to shoot well.
I'm starting to think about, using the 150 Grain, Ballistic Tips, as a replacement Bullet for, the 140 Classic Hunt, Berger's in my .270 WSM, in case, they don't work, as well as I think, they will. Most people, don't realize that the NBT's were RE-Designed about, 20 years ago. They were made TOUGHER, with a thicker Jacket, to Penetrate, better. NBT's are, a LOW cost, "sleeper Bullet" that's accurate and Kills, very well without, the FORMER ( 1990's ) meat, Destruction.
In my Testing, the BEST "Mushrooming" Bullet was, the 154 grain Horn. Interbond's, outta my 7mm Mag. as it produced, a .800 Dia., CLASSIC, "Shroom" with, a retained weight of, 118 grains. BUT, they were hard to get, to shoot "well" !
The Classic Bergers, were EZ Peasy, to get to shoot, SUB, 1/2 MOA for, me !
PS; the ELD-X's, ain't, a "Magic Bullet" either ! It shoots well, But it's, a "Hard" bullet, that Penetrates WELL, but with, poor Expansion.
My son, ended up, putting 3 of those, 150 gr. ELD-X's from his, 7mm-08 at 247 yards into, a nice 6x6 Bull, in Idaho.
He's switching over, to the 168 gr Berger HVLD's !

I'm developing a load for my Tikka TX3 lite in 270wsm and have tested all 3 of these bullets. I did a 600 yard ladder, group and pressure test already, the gun seems to like them all. Now I'm trying to decide which one to roll with. I'll be using this for pronghorn thru elk. Terminal performance on game is the deciding factor. Here's the details on performance at 200 and 500 yards:
(100 yard zero)

Nosler AB 150gr 3155fps- 66.3gr RE-26
200y- 2796fps 2604ft-lb 0.3mils
500y- 2313fps 1782ft-lb 2.1mils

Hammer Hunter 124gr 3460fps- 69.6gr N560
200y- 3004fps 2485ft-lb 0.2mils
500y- 2400fps 1587ft-lb 1.7mils

Berger 140gr 3260fps- 68.0gr RE-26
200y- 2918fps 2647ft-lb 0.2mils
500y- 2451fps 1868ft-lb 1.8mils
Which Accubond ... white tip, or green tip, Accubond Long Range. Reportedly, the green tips will expand better at long range. Reportedly, although folks really like them, the Bergers supposedly fragment, leaving a core. Per Hammer, their bullets "flower petal" and loose weight.

The green tip is the E-tip lead free option. Not an Accubond. The Accubond LR has a grey tip and the standard Accubond has a white tip. Hammer's actually shed and fragment the petals off their bullet design and the shank continues to drive through much like a Partition. You got Berger's correct. They fragment after 2 inches of penetration and throw a shrapnel out like a spider's web of death into the lungs of the target.

i've had nothing but good success with accubonds in a 6.8.

the 2 270win rifles i'm getting done will be shooting the 165 ABLR due to said success in its little brother.

i would love to grab some 168hammers but according to a few calculators and hammer themselves even the 1:8 twist will barely stabilize them at my location.
You would be more than happy with the performance level of the 156 HH in your rifles. They would leverage performance well beyond the 165 ALBR.

@ shooter7,.. Yikes ! That's not very promising info, on the Berger's !
At "moderate Ranges", in a 7 Mag.,.. I think that, I'd be, using, the 160 or, 175 grain Partitions, to 400ish for, sure !
Lung shots, with Arrows or, Bullets, DO take, a bit of TIME for most Elk,.. to die !
Maybe there is NO,.. DRT, "Magic Killer", Bullet for, the sub .30 Cals !
Ke-riest, I DON'T want to, go back to, a .338 Win Mag., as T'was, NO "fun",.. to practice with !
Give the Hammers a try. 143 HH, 155 HH, 169HH for example. Based on my personal experience, I have confidence you'll be more than impressed.

I voted for the Accubond but really you should have a spot for the ABLR bullet; Accubond but better, better expansion and good penitration at any range, they will expand well even at 1300fps (better than the Accubond)

Then again there are a few left out here,
ABLR
LRX
GMX
ELDX
A-frame
Edge-TLR to name a few,

Don't forget the old standard that all killing bullets are judged by...... The Nosler Partition, while it ain't got the high BC, we all are in some way trying to duplicate it's long-short range terminal performance.

Personaly if you are giving up the penitration by going with the Berger I'd just as soon shoot the ELDX.... Cheaper and they shoot just at nice out of a good rifle. Then again the LRX shoots even better and if driven fast enough has a longer range (and higher bc) than your hammer hunters out of the same caliber. (In theory)
Or upgrade to this:

What's your twist? Sorry if you already posted it somewhere...

Another option to try based on personal experience is the Badlands Gen-2's. I'm running 150's at 3,711 in my big 7mm and they are very accurate and consistent. Slip through the wind good too.

these.

i've build my 270win (throated) for the 170gr EOLs berger's and 165 ABLR. looks like both the hammers and possibly the bulldozer projectiles are gonna be in the same ball park throat wise as the the.

maybe matrix will hurry up and get things up and going lol so i can get those also
