Absolute Hammer load data

That's freaking smoking Bud, RL19 is good stuff but it makes big temp swings
That's what I thought but I'll be hunting and shooting in cooler tempts so I'll check it when it cools a bit the accuracy is kinda like pick your charge between 60 and 62 grs and shoot and they will all be under a in on a bad day or load em and mix them up and go shoot unbelievable from all my loading years these hammer bullets are a game changer

Yes Sir they are

Can't wait to try the 123's in my 6.5x284Norma. I have to do a break in on the barrel this weekend, then the fun begins. I have H4350, Varget, H4831, I4831, I4064, N560, 565, N170. I think the 170 will be too slow along with the 565 and maybe the 560. Been trying to find some other faster powders but just hard to come by. I'll be loading Laupa brass and FGMM primers. Any advice is appreciated, I have and keep looking over the data on the log for those that have posted and will post my results also when I get done. I also have FCD coming should be here Thursday, thank you Mr ButterBean for all your input on these threads sharing your success on what works. Grew up reloading with my dad and we only ever crimped on rounds for my semi auto's.

Bud you do what you think is best but if it's a new tube and your shooting Hammers just start loading and let her eat, And Varget is you friend

I have some 162 AH's on my bench.

If i were to run those through the .300bee instead of the 178s...

where would y'all start?
H4831/imr4955 or would that be too slow?
H4350/IMR4451
RL 16

I think the varget/imr4166 would be too fast and h1000 would be too slow. I don't have enough of any other powder to really test.
any advice?

I run the 124 gr Hunters with H4831 in my 6.5-284, so I think you'll want a faster powder. I think Bean is spot on with Varget, and H4350 is another good choice.
If you really want to have some fun, try the 109 Absolute.

I just heard from Neconos (Quickload), that Hammers are in the July update. I don't know specifically about the AB but I ordered it and will update this post as soon as I receive it.

Till then, I've loaded up some of the 123gr AB with IMR 4166 (39.5-43.0) for my 6.5 Creed to test this weekend. I loaded them to mag length, 2.86. I will post up the results when I have them. I'll be shooting them from a Howa 1500 action with 25" 1x8 med palma Mark Chanlynn barrel.

That's great news. I have been using Cutting Edge bullets info in QuickLoad to get me some good starting points and estimates. Funny thing is that the estimated numbers have been really close to the real world ones. It will be nice to have the Hammer bullets in the library going forward

Small update.

Tikka T3
xcaliber 270 win 1-7 twist, 24" done by Crown Ridge
139gr AH
Win Brass 1x fired, neck turned, primer pocket uniformed, trimmed & full Length sized
3.338 COAL
1/8 turn crimp LEE FCD
CCI 200 primers
60.5gr RL26 ~3170 FPS

Took these out to 400 yards and shot two groups (no brake, then with my Ross brake installed). Groups were 2" & 3" respectively with a 10mph cross wind.

BC of 0.237 G7 checked out at that distance.

Load is good enough to chase pronghorn in MT and whitetails in ID. May try more powders for science after season wraps up.

Made it out to the range today and had some interesting results.
Rifle = Howa action, 25" Chanlynn 1x8 med palma barrel, Dead Air Sandman S suppressor
Cartridge = ADG brass (4x fired, no anneal), CCI 200 primers, IMR 4166, COAL of 2.86" (mag length)
Atmospherics = 5550', 78*, bright sun, 3-5mph from 10:30
Labradar
39.5 - 3029
40.0 - error
40.5 - error * pierced primer (happens sometimes with this rifle although usually with small primers)
41.0 - 3110
41.5 - 3129 * slightly stiff bolt
42.0 - 3197 * blown primer * Stopped test

Looking at my target, I have a feeling my node, if it is safe, will be in shots 2-4, ending at 3110. Really unfortunate that 2 of those 3 had an error on the LR. After the blown primer, I went back to shooting a few more of my typical plinking load which is a 147 eld-m, in the same lot of ADG brass and primers as above test and 41.7gr of RS Hunter running 2700. No issues with any of those fired before or after the test rounds.

I think I will redo the 39.5-41.0, but with 3 rounds each instead of 1, and at 400yds.

What is your 147eldm load speed? Guess is ~2700?
