Absolute Hammer load data

I'm very interested in trying the 151 AH in my .308 with 18" barrel. I have some RL-7 would this be a good powder to use? I've been using it with the 125 NBT in the .308 and have quite a bit left.

That 82.5 group is nothing to sneeze at, irrespective of your "Need for Speed". 😁

H1000 is way too slow, There is a ton of speed in it yet

I have checked the data, and I know fast powders are recommended. RL-7 is faster than any powder listed in the data. I'm just wondering if powders in the data listed are the sweet spot for this bullet as they really aren't any I have on hand. I was just trying to determine if I had a suitable powder to even try loading these bullets.

Agreed. I loaded these in December before coming to that same conclusion about H1000 and the 155 AH. I'm thinking StaBALL 6.5 might be just right. It got the 151 AH over 3500 with 1/2 moa accuracy in my 24" 300WM. I'm open to suggestions.
Try that, if you have it or can find it. I used H100V in my 300WM with the 178 gr. AH. It has practically the same burn rate as StaBall 6.5 but is unfortunately temp sensitive while the SB6.5 is not. Great one shot results on a cow elk in Montana. She never took a step after being hit, just fell over. I will be looking for StaBall 6.5 for future use.

RL7 is going to be way to fast

I think anything in the 4350 burn rate will be what you're looking for. A little slower, but may work well as an alternative could be H4831.
I'm basing this off what I used with 140 gr traditional bullets in my 7 STW.

Bean, I slept with my stem for a week and it didn't help

I'm close to having my Sherman 7 Max ready to begin trying powders for the 155 AH, thanks to ButterBean for finding a way to adjust crimp dies for wildcats.

I have formed brass and have 50 rds fired 2x and 150 rds on one barrel.
Initial load is 180 Berger Hyb over 63.5 gr of RL-23 at 3,025 fps in a 26" Bartlein.

I noticed in the load data that there's some data on 7 saum and 155 AH using RL-27. I'm not liking trying RL-27 in Texas summers, though I have 8#.

I'm hoping the Absolute Brain Trust can steer me towards powder to run the 155 or even the 140 AH. I have a pretty wide supply of powder.

I would certainly appreciate knowledgeable thoughts
