At 500. Pleased for a light close range bullet.

Thanks for sharing, I have an extreme hunter with same 8.7 twist barrel so may try this load also. My barrel was chopped to 20” so I may shoot for 3,400.

I wouldn’t go slower powder you are going to lose velocity. Try a little faster powder like RL26, Viht N560, 7828SSC…….
Just read this post I thank you for helping the Dove Shooter he’s a friend of mine and his dad was my best friend that past away a few years ago I just so happen too have some n 560 he can try

For my first post I thought I'd contribute some data! Standard disclaimer: this worked for me by is quite possibly unsafe for you so consider this a journal of what I did and not what you should do.

Initial search with my Bergara B14 Ridge SP in 308Win (18in barrel), 151 AH, H4895, CCI 200, FL sized Lapua, 2.785 COL, 3/8 turn FCD (some iffyness on when engagement started, but a slight crimp):

42.92749
44.52824
45.52836
46.02876
46.52917
47.02943

I used a case vibrator to settle the powder and despite that started to get compression at 46 grains but it seemed manageable. I tried one round at 47.5gr that didn't get picked up by the chrono but I didn't see any pressure signs. I had hoped to find a load at 2900+ so later I'll explore between 46 and 48 for a consistent and accurate load.

I've also had real good success with Ramshot TAC which is almost the same burn rate but a lot less bulky. Same components as above other than powder (now TAC) and COL was 2.810 without crimp:
45.02772
462818
47.02916
47.52927
48.02953
48.53000
49.03030
Of those 49.0 showed a slight ejector mark and sticky bolt on one of two rounds. I ended up with 47.7 for my final load as it gave me consistent velocity and roughly MOA accuracy which was good enough for this years hunting season. Of note, that is the same charge I use for 130 TTSX loads.

I have to say, I'm super impressed with these bullets. The BC is a bit low but for the ranges I aspire to hunt the extra velocity more than makes up for it and an 1800 fps expansion threshold gives a little more wiggle room for the long shot's I'll almost certainly never take.

Running the 109 in my 6.5-284 with HV100 and getting 3511 fps with excellent accuracy. Destroyed a pronghorn this past August with this exact load
Have you shot the 124 HH out of the same gun? If so, what velocity? Just curious to see how it compares to mine... Also wondering if the n560 would get us higher velocities in this case (like that PRC) or if that isn't a good powder/case match?

Yes I have. It was around 3240 fps but the more accurate node was 100fps slower. I believe I was using H4831. Can’t remember if it was that or RL23, but I’m pretty sure it was H4831.
