Super preliminary results from the new 270 win barrel and the 139 gr AHs. Here's a bit of variety in the powder selection.

Tikka T3
xcaliber 270 win 1-7 twist, 24" done by Crown Ridge
139gr AH
Win Brass 1x fired, neck turned, primer pocket uniformed, trimmed & full Length sized
3.388 COAL
1/8 turn crimp LEE FCD
CCI 200 primers

RL 16 - 70 deg F
53.0 3017
54.0 3080
54.5 3134 slight stiff bolt, light ejector mark
55.0 3158 slight stiff bolt, light ejector mark Stop

H100V - 78 deg F
54.0 3055
55.0 3124
56.0 3157 slightly stiff bolt
57.0 3218 slightly stiff bolt + ejector mark
57.5 3238 Blown primer??!!!! Once again, these bullets seem to pressure out quick, be careful!

H414 - 82 deg F
47.0 2777
-
49.0 2916
49.5 2919
50.0 2959
50.5 2992
51.0 2988
51.5 3049 Slight stiff bolt
52.0 3053 Slight stiff bolt + slight primer crater End of ladder, stopping.

Other notes:

This barrel seems to have potential. I have not been shooting for groups but each of these ladders is holding well under 1.5 MOA, the RL16 ladder was ~.75 MOA

I'll try Staball 6.5 next, then possible H4350. Then from there finish break in and finalize a load.

300 RUM
Savage 116 (The Mule )
26” Heavy Sporter
10 twist
Bertram Brass
.003 neck interference
CCI 250
124 AH
LEE [email protected] 1/8th

Great, so now I have to buy a MagnetoSpeed to catch my 300 RUM, which means I'll be justified in a 204 Ruger then a 20-250 then a 25-06AI and before you know it I'll just be another guy shooting lasers instead of thumpers.

Create your own wildcat. Perhaps a huge .358” cal (to my mind “thumpers” start around this diameter) and drive light-ish monos to 4K. The 350 legend is a ballistic joke. But the 350 laserthumper has a nice ring to it…

LRH pretty much turning into a Hammer bullets sales site. I sure they are great bullets but I am pretty sure they are not the only bullets that gets the job done. Sorry Bean.
