So I have been doing some research and really like the A-Tacs pattern and was curious if anyone thinks it could be done with just Krylon? I was thinking maybe a base layer of dark brown and the then hit it with the ligher tans, some shading and blending with sponges! Anyone think it could be done?

Here are some examples:

Pretty good looking camo pattern. I imagine it could be done with Krylon, but for the time and effort involved I would suggest going with Duracoat. I have done 3 stocks and 2 barreled actions with the stuff. Once it cures it is really, really hard. Good stuff. Krylon may be cheap, but it won't take long for that cool looking camo job to start looking ragged.

I will keep that in mind, however I was just wondering if it could be done period without dipping the rifle? Any input would be much appreciated!
