Hi has anyone used the 87gn VLD hunting bullets on chamois/goat sized game? I was hoping to use them out to 500yards on goats pigs and maybe smaller red deer

I use the 95's and really like them. The Speer 85gr BTSP has very similar BC and those are down right deadly. Dropped 3 antelope in there tracks with 1 shot skills this last weekend. longest shot was 325 yards.

    IMO,

You'll be at about 825 ft lbs at 500. They should do fine. I wouldn't go after a large deer
    at that range though.
