I'm about to get a reamer ground and I need advice on freebore. I want to run the 180's at a COAL of 2.960" out of the modded AI mags. Does anyone have any idea what freebore I would need?

My reamer has .045" freebore and 180's hit the lands at 2.970. Just barely fit in the modded mag.

Thanks for the info. I would've guessed more than .045". How close is the bullet to the neck shoulder junction?

It sets quite a bit below it....Definitely doesn't have any affect on accuracy, and still allows it to fit in the mag. Anything more runs out of mag room. Might want to wait about a month when Seekins brings out his long WSM detachable mags...3.11" oal.
