Looking for a food 7mm WSM reload. If you could take the time, please leave the load in the comments, and post your average group size as well if you remember off the top of your head. Also (for a chance to brag) post a picture of a target with a group you shot with the load. Thank you for your time.

Before my rebarrel I worked up a load with Retumbo, using the 176 cauteruccio bullets. It started out very accurate, but then the barrel went south. Anyway, I felt like the retumbo was too slow burning for some reason and I may switch to H1000, Magpro or N560 with the new barrel. However, I still have the Retumbo keg on the shelf so I'll probably just use it till its gone.

I'm using 61.0 gr of h4831sc OAL 3.000, and WLR primers. I have found this load to be very accurate for me.
this is 5 shots @ 100 yards. excellent results @ 1000 yards as well. Hope this helps!

69.0-69.5 grains of Retumbo and Fed 215 or CCI 250 will make a 175 or 180 scream from a 7 WSM.

Ok thanks. I'm looking for a LR load for my 7mm WSM. But was wondering how the 175gr matchking would do in a factory barrel.

Thanks
Shifty

Should do alright. The matching 175gr bullet is a very underrated bullet.

I've never used it for hunting. My barrel is 26". Not sure on what reamer my smith used.
