7mm stw with 168 or 180 bergers

just looking to see what guys have found to be good loads for these in the stw & what kind of velocity you are getting from them.

My load was 79 grains Retumbo, CCI 250, with the 180's. 3050 fps. This load was very accurate in 3 different Senderos.

is it a hot load in your guns? how the velocity spread.iam building a stw with a defiance action & hart 26 inch tube was hoping the 180s would make 3100 but 3050 aint bad.

It wasn't a hot load at all. That's just where I found the best accuracy.

buddy of mine uses 168's with h1000 will get recipe. he has a 7" group at 1000

78 gr. h 1000. he's got a 28 in. hart tube 1 1/4 no taper with a nightforce on her. shot his elk last year at 652 and a whitetail buck this year at 711.

My load is 77.5 gr of h-1000 fed 215 primer rem brass it gets 3160 fps avg and 12 fps es. It shoots easy 1/4 moa at 250 yds. That's with a 30" shillen barrel.

Is that with a 168 gr bullet or the 180? If that is the 168 is that a real mild load?
