7mm SS Vs 30 SS in a short action

I have a Mausingfield short action and a Manners carbon fiber stock I'd like to use for a long range hunting build with a carbon fiber barrel. The bottom is cut for M5 bottom metal. What mags or bottom metal could I use to help seat bullets out longer if going with the 30ss, I'd like to use 215's. What would be real world attainable velocities with each,7mm 180's vs 215's? I have plenty of Re26 and H1000. I'd like to keep the barrel length at 24".

Id say 2850 with a 215 and 3000' with a 180. about max for both in a 24"

Accurate Mag 300WSM mags will allow 2.950" and work great in M5 DBM like APA.

remember your internal mag length will range form 2.985" 2.990 maxed out bullet hitting the front of the mag! your gonna want at least .050-.060" of room for movement and chasing the lands!

there is no plate in a 300WSM accurate mag!!!

One of them has a plate, but cant remember which ifcit wasnt the Accurate.
I know it getsxyou around 2.990"

Std reamer is too much FB for a 215 in a 2.990" box without a pretty good jump, and you want some clearance left.

That's all I need to know then. Will definitely be going with the 7mm
