I ran some in my cousins 7SS last fall behind a 175 EH at just over 3000'. It shoots well but haven't had any other experience in the 7. go

I did a pressure test with n565
Did a one shot pressure test on Jun 18 with N565
You think it would be worth pursuing for the 7max? I have plenty of h1000 on hand.
What bullet? Have ya done anymore testing since?

Fire forming brass with Sierra 175 gr soft points using IMR 4831 it is slow at 2675 fps but shoots .6 groups at 100.
Also have shot the Bergers 180 using H1000 shooting in the 2850fps. I only have a pound of n565 so not going to burn it up trying to get over 3000 fps. I will stick with H 1000 since I have 16 lbs.

Its got more energy than H1000 at the same burn rate. Good stability too.

My first official post - hopefully I don't screw it up. I received my 7Max from Clayton out at West Tx Ordinance, who has been a pleasure to work with, and this baby is absolutely beautiful in person. I've had N570 on backorder for a couple months and it finally shipped out from Midsouth today so I may actually get to test her out within the week. Rich has already shipped me some shiny new adg brass to fire form and Clayton worked up 100 rounds with 180 Berger's and RL26 and the results are quite impressive right at 1/4 MOA. I'll share that data when I get a few minutes to type it up or photo the test targets.

Clayton said my 7 Max will be ready by end of September. Looking forward to seeing it, but I know it'll shoot like all the others he's built for me.

Fireforming recipe for new Sherman 7 Max (ADG) brass (and a heck of a group). This is what the awesome folks at WTO used to prep the brass for my new baby. Good luck finding RL26 though.

Thats what they do! Not bad for fire forming.
Max with 26 is around 66 depending on the barrel?

Mine seems to like 63.6 gr for grouping with formed brass. That puts it right at 2,980fps and 0.3 MOA. I've only been able to find N570 now so back to the drawing board for new load data for a while. The barrel is Bartlein #3, 26" 1:8.5
