Just got my dies for the 7mm saum and am looking for some suggestions on where to start? I would like an accurate hunting bullet somewhere around 160g to 168g. Anybody loading this gun? I basically have no choice because factory ammo is rare and expensive.

I am shooting 7828ssc in mine with 160 gr accubond and its very accurate. I also have used 4831sc and RL-17 with good results. Its a great gun to shoot and not to picky with powder. I hope this helps

For bullets in the 140 grain range I have had very good results with RL-19. This is with Accubonds and Barnes TSX's.

I agree with remcraz that IMR-7828 works great with bullets in the 160 range. Again I have shot 160 Accubonds and 160 Barnes using IMR-7828.I am working on a load using IMR-7828 and 168 Bergers. So far I have gotten very good accuracy with the 168 Bergers but my velocity is not where I want it.

My rifle loves the 162 A-max with 65.5 gr of H1000. I'm pushing the 162's at 3057 fps in the .3 range at 800 yds.
