I know someone has tried this combo. I just a few of the 200s to try in my old man's 7mm RUM Sendero. I don't know if they will stabalize but we shall see!!! I've got US869, WC872 and Retumbo running out my ears. I figure one of them will work.

Thanks,
B.J.

BJ,
Haven't tried any yet, but I would like to know as well. I have the sendero with a 1-9.5 twist. I talked to the gentleman from berger. He said that these remmy stock barrels will stabilize the 180 grain bergers. I can send you the e-mail if you'd like with the loads.

Oh hell,

Thanks. I'm thinking I'm going to start w/about 90 gr of US869 and work up in 1 gr increments chronographing every shot till I find my pressure limit. Then I'll get serious. The chrono might help find a load.

On a side note, I pulled out the SP OAL gauge last night and found out that I'm not going to be able to get anywhere near the lands /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Kinda dissapointing. I can't believe this rifle is throated so long.

BJ, i loaded 88 gr of 872 with the 200 wildcats.these had the sierra jackets.at 90 the bolt got a little sticky.the 180 bergers had 99 gr of 872.used 215 primers and rem cases for both. the bergers would get to 1k quicker.

FWIW..Went to the range today tried Retumbo 2750fps 3 shots keyholed. Tried AA-8700 2825fps 3 shots keyholed. Tried US869 3025fps 3 shots....keyholed all at 100 yards. This was in my 7STW Accumark 1-9 twist.
This was info from the fall of '06

They didn't stabalize. They did OK on paper @ 100 yds but when I tried 400 yds I think I could have thrown them more accurately!!

If you decide you can't get the 200 grain wildcats to shoot, just put them out on the front porch and I'll swing by and pick them up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know this is old but did anyone ever get those 200gr wildcat bullets to stablize in a 7mm RUM factory barrel? or a custom 1-9" twist barrel or maybe a 7mm STW? Also does anyone have any of these bullets?
