I am currently doing a rebuild on my Ruger M77 MKII and I would much appreciate any suggestions on proper twist rate for the barrel I am building.

Ruger M77 MKII 7mm Rem Mag

H-S Precision Pro Series Sporter Stock (PSS033)

Original Action with Timney Trigger

SS Sporter Contour #6 that I have machined to 27" with 6 Flutes, recessed crown and will have a company do the chambering.

Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x50 MC Scope

Farrell Rail and Rings

Accu Shot Monopod and Bipod

I plan on using only 140 - 160 grain bullets.

Thank you in advance

If your planning to stick with 140 to 160 grain bullets, a 1:9 twist will do it. That will even handle up to a 175 and even 180 grain bullets. It will be all you need.
