7mm mag ammo

1st 7mm mag gun bought what ammo /grain would you start out with for accuracy / hunting I know every gun eats different ammo but want some thought to start of with .
on like a 270 I always start with 130
308/3006 I always start with 165
300/338 I always start with 180
so any thoughts would be great thanks

I think it would depend on what you plan on hunting. My 264 loves 140gr ammo, and has handled everything including Elk... No Moose or Bear....yet.. With a 7mm I'd start out with 150gr's and go from there...

I'd start with the heaviest bullet my barrel would stabilize and wouldn't really be interested in anything lighter than 160gr.

I've got a couple boxes of Federal Premium 7 Rem Mag with Berger 168's for just that purpose.
