7mm 180 Hybrid results

I have lots of experience with the 180 Grin Hybrid in my 7mm LRM. I have taken Elk, Mule Deer, Antelope, Gemsbok, Bush Buck, Warthogs and on and on. they work fantastic. All one shot kills and no need for tracking so far. I am running them right at 3000 FPS. Incredibly accurate out of my LRM and so far very deadly. Longest shot was 659 yards at a Mature mule deer. Knocked him right off his feet and the exit wound was about the size of a golf ball.

We just shot two bulls with the 180 hybrid. One in 28 nosler and the other in a 7 saum. 28 nosler was a high shoulder shot. Shredded top of lungs, severed the spinal, and went through back shoulder broke with a 1 1/2" exit. The shot was angled down quite a bit. Bull dropped of course. 363 yards

The 7 saum was a lower neck shot. The neck looked like a 6" auger drill bit scrambled the inside. 3" exit. I'd say 20" of flesh and bone went through. 315 yards and it dropped also.

I like to think of them as mini 215 hybrids like it's 30 cal big brother.
Excellent bullet. Have taken deer, elk, eland, giraffe, crocodile and wide variety of African game with the 180 hybrid. All one shot kills from :42 to 756 yards…I also shoot/ practice a lot.

Here's a small Forky we shot a few weeks ago. Impact velocity was around 2700 fps. Quartering away. Rearward is entrance and excited shoulder. Blew up shoulder on the way out leaving a nice 1" hole. We shot a other one a last week at 480 yards but it was a neck shot so no visual. Deer dropped obviously. Spine was slit in two and bullet excited. These were both shot out of a custom 7 mag

Awesome I appreciate all the feed back and the story's to go with. That grizzly hunt sounds intense! Thanks for sharing. Well I'll hunt the hybrids without worry then. Can't wait to shoot them.
Definitely don't hesitate to run them. There's been numerous arguments that you can't use them because they don't say "hunting" on the box, but as you've seen just here, the animal doesn't know the difference :p
