7LRM (Long Range Magnum) - Pic & Info thread

Finally got around to weight sorting. With the exception of 11 cases out of the 200 weighed all clustered between 250 and 255 grains.

The breakout was:

247gr - 247.9gr 01 cases
248gr - 248.9gr 00 cases
249gr - 249.9gr 02 cases
250gr - 250.9gr 23 cases
251gr - 251.9gr 41 cases
252gr - 252.9gr 17 cases
253gr - 253.9gr 32 cases
254gr - 254.9gr 36 cases
255gr - 255.9gr 48 cases
256gr - 256.9gr 07 cases
257gr - 257.9gr 01 cases

We've started sorting brass before it ships out. Distribution should be +/- 1 grain. If you have new brass that has bigger variation, ship it back and we will send you replacement of the same qty X 10%. I'll honor the 10% bonus through the end of Dec '15.

Just tagging in,
Sent brass and ammo back on Sept. 10, haven't heard anything about it yet.

Did a quick load development over the weekend.

I am extremely pleased with the accuracy and consistency. I had loaded the brass in the 255 - 255.9 grain range with the thought that any future brass would also be safe to fire without pressure. I will say that my top load was getting pretty close to the limit.

I received my replacement brass this week. Thank you.

I also noticed that it had been annealed, another thank you!

Well apparently they've stop sorting brass. I ordered 100 back in March and finally got my gun done. I hadn't read this thread until now after having a hell of a time developing a load. I weighed and sorted the remaining unfired 50 rounds I have left ant they ranged from 243 grains up to 255 grains. I had only 11 that were within .5 grains at 251 grains. Extremely disappointed. At $1.92 a peice they sure as heck should be a lot closer than that. :/

Give me a call tomorrow to discuss. Should be only a few grains spread. We have a new batch coming in this month, we can get this "sorted" out for you. 307.296.7299

I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with Aaron and Gunwerks. Although I've know that prior to this experience I didn't expect anything at all in exchange for the brass I received. Aaron and Gunwerks went out of the way to get me some new brass and I'm looking forward to loading up, shooting and hopefully harvesting some game this fall with the new, sorted brass.

I've attached a photo of my gun and a three shot group that I made with sorted brass last night at 200. If your on-the fence about a 7LRM or a gun from Gunwerks I can personally say that you won't be disappointed. Best choice you could make!
