My next build will be a 7 SAUM around the 143g Hammer Hunter bullet.

If you are shooting a 7 SAUM with a 21-22in barrel please share your velocity, powder and bullet weight.

N560 will work also to replace it. Those two powders swap out pretty even. RL23 will also work great and be just about as fast. Maybe 30' slower. RL23 most temp stable of course of the three. But N560 not too far behind. Those are my three main powders with them.

If I was in Canada I would t worry about temp stable as long as it doesn't go over 80 or so. I doubt it does.

That is exactly what I shoot except mine is a 20" proof. I am shooting H4350 for the 143hh and H1000 for the 168vld. I'll get the details when I get home of the load but getting a touch over 3000 fps with the 143's (I got over 3100 before any pressure signs but backed off and found a great node at the 3000 velocity. I shot IMR 4350 before switching to h4350 but wasn't quite as accurate. If I remember it is around 59 grains of h4350 BUT let me verify that bc I don't honestly remember the exact load!

That is amazing if you are getting over 3300 with the 143 out of a 22" barrel. That would be an unsafe load in MY rifle and is 150 fps faster than the reloading books that publish max velocities for 140 class bullets in the 7 saum. If yours shoots that fast then KEEP that sucker bc you have a speed demon of a barrel. OP should not plan on seeing 3300+ out of a 22" barrel with safe pressures in my opinion. Shoot for 3000-3100 out of an 20-22" and be happy bc that load will hammer out to most reasonable hunting distances.
I have 8 . Shortest barrel is 22". Shoots 143HH's at 3,301 fps average. 67.5 grains of RL26. That help ya???

Good point.
You made everyone curious about your barrel now haha
What barrel is that? How many grooves?

This was the ladder I ran on them with no pressure. Every barrel is different. And what's really gonna blow your mind then if the velocity does is that it shoots under 1/2" at 300 yards. Multiple .1 moa groups. Verified the drops out to 550 yards at 6.9 moa.
