7 SAUM or 7 WSM?

7 SAUM 26" 1:9"
Gunwerks brass.
Fed GM215M
RL23
175 Berger Elite
2955fps (about 1.4gr off max @ 3030fps)
ES 9
SD 4.7
851 yards, 2.2" 3 shot during load verification
I'm building a 7 SAUM right now and plan on shooting the 175 Berger elite Hunter. How easy was it to find an accurate load with this bullet? How much jump are you using? Thank you.

Very easy, in a good rifle. Final jump ended up being .024".

Perfect. Thank you. I sent in a few dummy rounds with the 175 heel seated right at the shoulder/neck junction and told them to give me .020 jump. Hopefully I get the same results in my barrel.

Thanks for the info. I have to admit, 3000 with the 180's looks **** sexy and in my experience anything over 3000 is a good thing. If I can't get it to shoot though.....whats the point?
WSM getting 3050 with Hornady 180eldm. 26" proof 1:8. The 180eldm at 3000+ plus puts up some impressive numbers.

I don't. The only thing I have messed with so far is RL26 and I have less than 100 rounds through it. May play with some other powders eventually
Very nice rig. Your 180s are a shade faster than mine, but I'm running a "short" action.
