Finally tested this baby.
Stiller action; Mc Crees folding chassis; 28"McGowan 9 twist barrel.
wanted to run it through the chronograph.
I am shooting the 162gr a max with 82 gr retumbo.
velocity for 4 shots was:
1-3392
2-3418
3-3401
4-3392
I will do a seating depth test in a week or two and see if I can dial it in.

think you may have that figured out, where you shooting over the chrony when you shot the seating groups? you plan on shooting any of the bigger stuff out of that? i would be interested to see what it would do with a 180 berger. I am running the straight 7-300 win with a 180 at 3140

I wasnt shooting over the chrony.
I just used the 82 grain load pushing the 162 s at 3400 fps
I am going to shoot the 162gr at 1000yds and see how it does.
If I get the results I'm expecting I will stay with them.
I have a few hundred of them so will try to stay with them for a while.

I'll try to get out to the range a bit more.
My next test will be at 600 and 1000yds
If you want any more info let me know.

Very subtle difference.
It's about 3 grains more in the improved version.

I have a die reamer and had my smith make a custom fl sizer die.
I got the reamer and die blank from PTG.
I use a standard 300 win mag bushing neck sizing die to fine tune neck tension.

Went hog hunting yesterday.
Made head shots at 200 yds off of shooting sticks standing up and and 330yds prone with a bipod.
Perfect hits and made a big hole with the 162 amax.
Not long range but very precise.
Didn't get a chance to shoot on paper at long range yet but rang the gongs at 600yds easily.
