I built a mountain rifle with a 21" barrel and it shoots 140 Nosler BT with 45.7grs IMR-4350 over Fed 210 primers sub-MOA. That will be my choice for muleys in Utah this year.

Getting ready to start testing for a 22" Remington 700 sporter. This will be my primary whitetail gun. I'm planning to go with 140 gr Nosler BT bullets. Not really sure where to start. I have the following powders- H4350, IMR4350, 7828ssc, H4895. Using Hornady brass and I have F210 primers. Any personal experiences would be appreciated. Thank you

If You can find Speer Hot core 130 SPBT gr. they will shoot in Remingtons 22' barrels such as the Md 7 or Md. 700
42 grs of imr-3031
Fed GM210M primers
Winchester Brass was all I had at the time
mine after break in was shooting 2918 f/s and Sub MOA at 100 yds.
I would start at a lower load weight to get started, but my rifles loved that load and was a excellent Deer Cartridge

In my Model 70 Compact with a 20" barrel get the highest velocity with Winchester 760 and accuracy at 0.590" with 4 shot groups @ 2719 fps with the 140 Nosler BT. If you can get Win 760 to group it will be a good deer killer, shot 3 of them at 60, 105, and 120 yards, and they tipped over dead never moved. Had good penetration and massive expansion.

Varget and Reloder 17 have been very good in my rifle also giving slightly better groups with about 75 fps less velocity. Deer would never know but since I am a speed freak I would lose sleep over that difference when hunting!

Great cartridge and useful in so many small to medium game applications. Good luck

I built a 7-08 for a buddy. The goal was low recoil we also we using a 22 inch barrel and we settled on 140 grain accubonds with reloaded 19 great accuracy at a blistering 2500fps and super low recoil. She was able to take her first elk at 450 the year we put it together.

140gr Nosler Accubonds over 44.5gr of IMR4350. Bug hole 3shot groups at 100yd. Browning A bolt microhunter 20" barrel. Been running that load for years.

I haven't tried the 140 ballistic tip in a 7-08 but I have in other caliber rifles..it's a great deer bullet. I load the 162 ELD M in my daughter's 7-08 it's accurate for sure in a 9 1/4 twist and kills like lightning. The shoulders of a deer aren't even suitable for burger is the downside

Would start with the IMR4350 and H4350 both seem to work well in that case size. I have found Varget to be less temp sensitive, and has less case fill. Good velocity in a 20"bbl and Fed210m or CCI BR2 are both good primers. I'm switching over from Norma to Lapua brass but again both work well.

I would have to say it is one of the easiest rounds I've found to load for and death on deer. I like accubonds and interbonds because of my hunting and shooting style. Good Shooting!
I use h 43 50 49 grains BR2 at 2.800 139GMX and 140 game king @2.750 and get 1/2 groups in Browning Hunter. My wife entirely loves that rifle she's taken several several deer and hogs with both

Like others, we are pushing 140 gr Berger VLD Hunting bullet 3000+ FPS with Varget. Currently with virgin Winchester brass. Took 2 mule deer between 350-400 yds that "didn't go 20". They group pretty well on paper too - sub quarter MOA 😃

RL15 start around 39gr for low velocities
SW Match Both are nail drivers in 3 of my 7-08's..but NOT speed burners. Shoot 139 and 140's
I pushed up to 41gr in both with no issues...just lost some accuracy. I4350 shot well and I4895

My 7-08 is a Remington Model Seven SS with a 20" barrel.
120 grain NBTs @3000fps with Varget
140 grain Partitions/Accubonds @2850fps with Big Game.

All 3 bullets have proven to be very accurate and deadly on whitetails in my rifle. I'll be taking it on my next elk hunt.

I concur. My X-bolt likes 140 Accubonds pushed by 45 gr of IMR-4350. I've used RL-19, H4350, IMR 4831, H4831, H414, IMR 4064 (lighter bullets), and a few others with ok results. But I find my rifle telling me it likes IMR 4350. Puts a smile on my face because I have plenty of that particular powder. I really enjoy loading for the 7-08!
