a friend has asked me to help work up a load for a
6mm remington
it wll be used for varmits and deer maybee a bear if he jumps one while deer hunting.
Range will be hopefully to around 700 yards but since I dont know much about this round im not sure of its limitations.
thanks

I load 43.5grs of IMR-4350 with 100 and 105gr bullets.I chronograph the 100gr bullets @ 3055fps out of a 22" barrel.I get around a 1/2" group with this load in my 700 Rem. BDL rifle.

what bullets are you using?
what kind of range are you able to get to?
I have no expierance with this round
would it be a safe guess to figure it close to a 243?
thanks

I shoot either Hornady Interlock or Nosler Partion in the 100gr and Speer Hot Core in the 105gr.Works purty good on deer, shot coyotes out to 300yds with no problem.Maybe just a tad better than the 243.
