6mm Creedmoor Velocities?

I am loading my unmodified 6mm Creedmoor Ruger Precision Rifle with the 108gr Match, 110 SMK's, and 87gr VMAX's. With the 108's I am running an AVG VEL of 3050 +/- using Starline SRP brass. This exceeds the factory ammo by a touch. The accuracy is good, the SD and ED not so much.

I am running 42gr of RL-16 and CCI BR4 primers. My COL is 2.790 measured with my digital caliber base to point.

What velocities are other folks loading to.

Any advice would be appreciated.

That is almost exactly where I am at. I would try RL-23 it seems to do well in my rifle. I have had mixed results with RL-26 some days great and some days not so great. H4350 is the go to powder for this cartridge.

So 3050 is about it for the 105 Berger, 108 Hornady, 110 sierra? My ballistics tables show that this velocity will stay supersonic till the 1300 yard mark. Certainly better than my 308 with the 175 SMKs. I could maybe get another 50 FPS (24" barrel) but to what end I guess.
Thanks to all that make this forum great.

I get 3063 for 107 SMK with 41.7 grains of H4350 out of a 22” barrel, Lapua brass. This is an accurate load for me so I haven’t pushed it further.

I have 2 bolt guns and run the 105’s vld at 3305.....26” barrel. With rl23.

Have a 25” barrel bolt gun and 110smk at 3127 with h4350

Have an ar10 with a 24” and run 107smks at 2990 with rl23.

All using atlas brass and 210m’s

The 110’s were the biggest fighter of the bunch.
The gas gun has been the easiest with the 107’s. Worse it’s ever shot was 3/4. It seems to plateau out at high .3’s -.4. Have half a dozen changes to powder charger and seating depth tweaks that all stay right there. So good enough.

I get 3049fps single digit SDs with smk 107s over 4831sc. 27 inch Bartlein 5r barrel. I could got a bit more but got the best accuracy in that area.

What seating die, are y'all using?! I recently put my 6mm Creedmoor together, just got in the 110 SMK this week. Started testing bullet seating depths and realized this is a VLD bullet?! I just put in a order for the Forster Ultra Benchrest seating die, which comes with a VLD stem.

Are those your two most accurate nodes? If not what's your accuracy load?

I am having fun with the 6mm Creedmoor. I have never owned a 6.5C...

Still playing with a 26", 1-7 twist...

Got an ES of 23 with 10 rounds @ 3160fps with the 110 Sierra. RL26

Running the 115 Bergers @3100fps...ES 31 with RL26

No pressure issues so far...

Cool little cartridge...

So...with a 1-7 twist, is this your recommended bullet?
I guess it depends on what you are trying to do. Trajectory vs max range and impact vel. For me personally I don't think you can gain anything for hunting with a slower higher bc bullet in 6mm.

So the 88gr hunter is your choice?

I have a jug of H4350 hidden away...:)

I have to agree...

Thanks...
