Starting load development for a buddy's 6 creed. Rifle is a Browning hells canyon edition topped with a Leupold vx6 HD 6-24x. Shoots under 1/2 MOA with factory hornady 108 ELDMs. He gave me 200 pieces of nosler brass, cci 200 primers, Hornady 108g ELDMS, Berger 108g BT Target, and IMR4350 powder. I told him to get H4350, but he thought they were the same and got IMR4350 instead. Oh well it should still work. Anyone using IMR4350 and have a good luck or loads they want to share? Will be my first go round with the 6 creed. Seems to be an extremely accurate and efficient little round...

If it shoots factory that well, should rip with some quality handloads.
I would try and get ahold of H4350 and sell the IMR4350.
If you are determined to load the IMR4350, start around 37.5 and work up.

I've got two Fieldcrafts and a Ruger in 6CM and all shoot well with Hornady factory 108 ELDM loads as well as with my handloads of 108ELDM over 40 grs RL16. I switched one FC over to 95 LRX again over 40 grs RL16.

I have a Browning 6mm creed, that is loaded with 39.5 H4350 behind sierra 107 gr match king. that has shot 4 shot groups at a little under an inch at 500yds, the load and gun will do it but I don't do it every time, always good though. good luck

I have a RPR in 6 Creed that I shoot with the 108 ELDM's. After deciding I didn't want the throat wear of 4350 I tried H4831, IMR 4451, RL22 but have finally settled on IMR7828. I know it seems slow but it has shot exceptionally well in my gun and I came across 20+ pounds at my gun club they were trying to get rid of and talked them down to $10/pound so trying to use it in everything I can. Work up your own load, yadda yadda, but I'm getting solid performance with nodes between 45 and 46 grains.

Some of the PRS guys have started playing with H4831 because it is slower and cooler leading to less throat erosion. I'm not particularly worried about speed and if I can get 2900fps or more with what I consider good accuracy that's enough for me. My drop data says that I'm running about 2950fps but I don't have a chronograph. Group sizes and drop at distance tell me what I need to know.

I use 44.1gn of H4831sc, Starline LRP, BR2, 110SMK for some hyper fast velocities up to 3200 in a 26" barrel. The barrel is in excellent condition after 400+"hot" rounds.

Played with StaBall6.5, Hornady & Fed GM210M, 110SMK with good starting results, velocity from 2894-3028, on this first round of tests. Second test are loaded and ready for testing, to see where pressure is?

Also did some 90TGK, StarlineLRP, Fed GM205M, with SW Precision, good things there too velocities from 2987-3246.

With a 108 gr bullet max loads of H4350 and IMR4350 are within 2 fps of each other. Seriously doubt it matters at all.

Good Luck

Jerry

The two go to powders for that, RL16 and H4350. Forget imr4350!! RL16 is a little dirtier than H4350. 108 is a good Cheap to shoot bullet. 109 Berger and the 115 DTAC will step up Your long rang performance a little. 2950fps - 3050fps you will find a good node.. Good luck
