65 PRC/SS Hammer 124 and N565

I've been using R23 with 124 HH in my 65SS with great results. I recently came into a bunch of N565 (like twice the amount of R23 I have) and I'd like to use it if I can. I realize it's probably a bit too slow but I did find someone on the HH forum that used it with 131's with velocity over 3200.

I've tested lots of different powders with this combo so I'm well aware there are other great combinations out there. I'm asking specifically about N565 with the 124 in either the 65 PRC or 65SS.

I'll probably test it myself but I thought I'd ask if anyone here has tried it. I suspect I'll run out of case capacity before I hit pressure.

I tried n565, I didn't get great results. It's a tad slow. I did ladders with n565 and n560 I stuck with n560 and saved the n565 for my other rifle.

560 is definitely the better of the two for the application.

I have tried N565 in both my 20" and 26" 6.5SSs. With the 130 OTM, 131 HH, 144 Hyb, and 156 Elite. I have found it takes more charge weight to get equal velocites, but it does not pressure up as fast as RL23. It works exceptionally with the heavies
To compare charge weights to get 3200fps w. a 131 in a 26" barrel:
57.0gr RL23
59.0gr H1000
61.5gr N565

I was compressed at 62.7gr N565 w. 131s at nearly 3300fps. Right at max pressure.

I've been running the 156 with 58 grains of N565 for 2960. I can get to 3050 but it's close to pressure and harder to spot my shots with a suppressor. 56 grains of R23 gave me 3050 with light pressure. 56.5 grains R23 with the 124 gave me ~3250 depending on the 65SS barrel so I was figuring 58-59 grains of N565 for about the same speed.

I would think you should be able to hit 3400 fps with the 124, I hit 3500 fps with the 123 absolute.

Never made it to 3300 without pressure in multiple 65SS.
