6.8 Western

^^^Should be in the 7 months give or take??? I also purchased the pilot or bushing for the case trimmer from Little Crow Gun Works. They put the dimensions in their system and had it made it a few hours. The only thing I think I'm missing is the die set now because I have everything else including three different kinds of powder to mess with if I wanted to. Thinking I will probably sell all that stuff and just shoot the factory ammo. There will also be other weights of bullets coming out this year too. I am thinking the 165 and 175 will be good for me along with what ever else they come out with.
Yeah I'm in no hurry because obviously no one can shoot them yet (other then custom guns). Thanks ill get in contact with them

To get one a person would have to special order one which I have done. I was one of the first to do so. The release date for the 6,8 Western is late into the 3rd quarter this year. My rifle should be done in the May to June timeline. I also have a two die set on order and have a case of ammo.
I take it you ordered a model 70. What model of the 70 did you order and did you have to pay full retail suggested price even though you paid in advance? If you don't mind me asking.

I have already necked down the 6.8 to 6.5 and all I did was shorten the 270 wsm bushing die .085 and changed bushings. just shorten a 270 wsm die set if you don't want to wait 6months to a year. any good smith can do it or if you know someone in a machine shop they can do it just as easy

I know this is after the fact, but where did you find the bullets?? I have found 3 rifles in Tulsa, i already bought one. Browning X Bolt, If you would Please provide the link.
Thanks
I started to buy the 165 grain bullets in February or around then from places on the ole innerweb. Then I noticed a case going for cheap on the bidding on GunBroker so I thought I would bid on that for I think it was 33 dollars a box,,, I ended up winning and it was for the 175 grain. I only have like two cases and a few boxes of the 165s and a case of 175s. That's the story???:) Anywhos just look around the ole innerweb and you will have to register and login then hit the ole notify me button because everyone that sells them for a reasonable price is out. The 175s are going for a reasonable price here and there but the 165s we will have to wait on. More is coming very soon along with other ammo producers making new rounds from the 150 to 185 grain if I remember correctly but more is coming. I think I have my name in on seven or eight places. I have also scored the 165 bullet/s, brass from Scheels and four one pound bottles of powder, and bid on some primers. (These bullets take the large rifle magnum primers). Long way to say hit the "notify me buttons" on sites that are selling what you are looking for.:). Ken

If you meant just the bullets I do not remember where I bought the two boxes of Nosler 165 grain Accubond Long Range. Someone had them so I bought them because they were a decent price.
