I have a chance to get a Cooper Varmit in 6.5x284. I don't own any Cooper rifles so I don't have any feel for this mfg. I have read this rifle mfg and round will do great things down range. Anyone out there have a Cooper or a 6.5x284 that can shed some light on help me pull the trigger on this purchase?

Thanks for your thoughts

Well, if you don't do it, let me know where the rifle is and I might very well buy it myself. Just because I am in the process of picking another Cooper rifle or 2 up.

As to the cartridge and its ability, I can't help you there. I too have heard good things about the cartridge but that's just heresay.

Best of luck.

As far as rhe Cooper rifle goes, you can't go wrong. they are one of the best. the hearsay is wrong, the 6.5x284 is a very accurate long range cartridge.
