6.5x284 Rifle

My new rifle picked up yesterday will let you know how it shoots soon. Nightforce ATARC 5-25x56 scope.

Yes please let us know!!!!! I was thinking if getting one if Bobs guns. Curious how it shoots and how it feels also how heavy is it? Did they do barrel break in for you?

No they only test fired the gun but they might break it in if you wanted too have to ask them.
They gave me the load that they like for the 6.5x284 but suggest you tweak your own load.
The rifle with the scope and bipod weighs 13 pounds on my bathroom scale ( no bullets}.
Will attend the shooting school on April 18th and 19th.

Rifle shoot great as expected. Here are some pictures of the shooting school. My load
Lapua brass
Fed 210 primer
49.7 gr Hodgdon Hybird 100
Berger 140 gr Hunting VLD
COAL is 3.070
I was getting Sub 1 inch groups at 200 yards didn't get pictures of groups. We shot at 100 yards for sight in and went to range and shot steel at 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1500. 1800 and wind blew the 2000 yard target over before we started shooting at it. My 6.5x284 was only shot at the 1000 because the wind was so strong so didn't try the 1500 but shot the 1800 with Bob's 338 Lapua. I would recommend going to a shooting school if you get a chance. You will learn a lot and get a chance to improve your skills and just shoot a bunch.

3 Shot group at 1500 yards by Jason Baney from EuroOptic. My rifle shoots good, Now I just need to be as good as it is. This was done at ExtremeOuterLimits shooting school on 5/8/2014.

Awesome gun. 6.5x284 is a huge contender for my next custom build. And it would double as my sons first big game rifle.
