I had a 6.5x284 built on a Rem 700 long action. This was originally a .270 win that I never used. I had my gun smith, John Brihnam, blue print the action and true the bolt lugs. He then rebarreled it to 6.5x284. The barrel is a Shilen CM in a Sendero contour, 26", 11 degree crown, with 1in 8 twist. It has been sitting in my safe for several months. I have never shot it. My gunsmith test fired two rounds out of it to do a safety check. The bolt locks up tight. It should be a shooter. I have never been disappointed with John's work. The barrel and action are duracoated. Will also come with a 20 moa rail with 8/40 screws. I have decided that I do not need it and could use the money to finish up my 300wm build. This is the barrel action. If you have any questions please let me know. $650 to your FFL.
