Looking at using H1000 with the 145 Match Burner for my 28" 1 to 7.5 twist 6.5x284. Any help or knowledge someone can pass on. It will be a minute before starting the project due to two things. Waiting on my go no go gauges for my Remage barrel and lost some finger tips offshore. So I have plenty of time to read.

I don't want to derail this thread but I have to know what do you mean you lost some fingertips offshore

This might help. Cut my hunting season short too lol. God blessed me with 7 spares.

Sorry about your fingers man! You should expect to see 2950-3000fps with H1000 and 145gr bullets in the 6.5x284.

I wonder what kind of FPS you think I could get
I have tried several powders in my 65 284 beginning with 4831 shortcut, H 1000 ,retumbo, reloader 23 and 26 my go to powder right now is reloader 23 extremely temperature stable very accurate and good velocity my current load Is 52.5 of reloader 23 and yields 2980 ft./s. Looking back through my notes of my loads of H 1000,55 grains averaged 2954 ft./s 55.5 averaged 2969 ft./s 56 average 2985 56.5 average 3027. All these loads I shoot a burger 140 VLD hunting

Appreciate the help guys
Did you ever get that 6.5 284 settled in with the 145 Match Burners?
I've been using 140 grain RDF and Eld-M for paper and Nosler BT for hunting over H4350 that go 2960.
I've got some 145's to try with the same powder... but, may be a bit fast for the 145's
