Anybody shooting this combo? Are the accuracy nodes about the same as the 140+ gr bullets? About 2900fps is usually close in my experience with the heavier bullets. Curious if anyone managed to land in the next node with the 135gr bullets and what they used to get there. I'm using a 26" douglas barrel and most likely H4831sc.

Thanks

Brian

I ended up finding good accuracy using 52.6gr 4831sc and getting avg of 3003fps in Winchester brass. This will be my hunting load for this fall.

I used the 135 Gr Classic in my 6.5/284 Horizon custom and in a 6.5 SAUM for deer and elk last season.
In the 6.5/284 I my load is 55.7 gr of Reloder 26 and is running 3064fps in 24 inch
Benchmark barrel. Took this old Mule deer in Sonora In January with the 135gr

Venatic....thats my kind of trophy....old and beat up warrior...
I really like the idea of the 135gr bullets....and the speeds....bewt of Go the world's....but how does that bullet hold up to functional hit on critters...
I shot an elk at 560yards last season with 168lrab in 7rum 2950fps...it exploded way to much for me....micro chunks of lead throughout the critter....
Do the classics hold up better.....

I shot several Whitetails from 150 to 702 last season with the 135 and also shot a Red Stag at 175yds. Got exit on all Whitetails past 300 with awesome blood trails and none made it past 50-60 yds. Didn't happen to recover bullets on closer shots that remained in animals. I should add Killed two elk with 143 ELD-X and it's performance was good as well.
