6.5mm bullet diameter?

why do 6.5 mm bullets which are supposed to be 0.264 in in diameter actually measure 0.244 inches in diameter?

Sounds like your measuring a 6mm bullet.

Either you grabbed the wrong bullet or you didn't "zero" your calipers before using them.

The box if accubond long range. Ironically I have a box of loaded Hornady 6.5 Prc eldx that I knocked a bullet out of and it measures .244 as well.

Time to get better calipers if you got .244" on two brands of 6.5 bullets.

Did you zero the caliper? Show us how you are measuring it, with the caliper set at zero and then with the "actual" 6.5/.264" bullet diameter reading.
