6.5 velocities

What velocities are you getting out of these calibers? 6.5 prc,6.5 284, 6.5 300, 260, 6.5 06, 6.5 saum?
6.5x284 Norma with berger 140 vld hunting 2980 FPS 26" barrel 52.5 grns of reloader 23

I think barrel length and powder choice, and how hot your load is should be taken into account as well.

.260 AI, 29" barrel, Reloder 26, 156 EOL @ 2940 nearly 2 grains under max. Max pressure pushed it right at or just under 3000 fps.

Same gun and components, max load 147 eldm @3060 fps

Same same, max load 140 VLD @3120ish. Switch to H4831sc, and max is around 3000 fps. Ran that load at 2930.

Lots of variables here.

These numbers are from my 24" saum, all shot suppressed. All of these loads I would consider just north of middle of the road as far as pressure goes, nothing crazy. These are also not the top velocities I've seen out of the gun, just what I settled on.

Berger 156eol: 3030fps
Hammer 124hh: 3250fps
Hornady 143eldx: 3120fps

I know there's a lot variables, just trying to some real world numbers... I Just want to see which is getting the highest velocity... I'm guessing the 6.5 300 or 6.5 saum

Just curious is this a BR set up?

My 24" CA Ridgline 6.5 PRC is getting 3020 fps with a Berger 140 vld with 58.2 gr of retumbo. I think there is room for more but it shoots great right there.

My Cooper JLR 26" barrel is at 3100 fps with a Berger 140 vld and 56.5 gr of retumbo. I really thought my magneto speed was lying but a labradar said the same 3100 fps.

Nope, heavy hunting set up.

You didn't mention the Sherman cartridges, but since they have parents of the ones mentioned, I didnt think you would mind. I will use examples of loads with the 4 or 5 top powders at near max with a 26" barrel. N570, N565, RL26, 8133 RL33. Most other slower powders from 4831 up would yield 50' less

140 berger
6.5 Sherman. 3250-3275
6.5 sst. 3150-3175
6.5 ss. 3225-3250
*6.5 max. 3275-3325

156 Berger
6.5 Sherman. 3125-3150
6.5 sst 3090-3120
6.5 ss. 3125_3150
*6.5 Max. 3175-3200

*estimated based on 7Max

3490fps with a 127LRX
3340 with a 140vld
3300 with a 140ab.
3315 142lrab

260ai 25" barrel
2850 with a 140vld
3130 with 129lrab
2910 with 142 lrab

6.5-284 24"
140vld 2790 def not a max load but very accurate and consistent.

6.5cm
2815 with a 143eldx
2920 with a 130 gamechanger

I really love my 6.5CM. It's extremely easy to shoot and it shoots very well. I'm just disappointed in my velocities. I've tried two powders and two primers so far. My velocities are in the mid to upper 2500's. I'm going to try Reloader 16 tomorrow to see what it yields.
What combination did you use to obtain 2800 from the 143 ELDX's. 24in. barrel?

H4350, rl16, rl26 should do 2800 or close, some slower barrels may not get there, but with rl26 people are getting 140's over 2900 in 26"+ tubes. Just work up careful.
