So finally got me a PRC to tinker with and was looking for input from you guys that have one on what bullet/powder/brass/primer combo has been working as well as realistic velocities. Gun is full SAC build with 23 inch Muller on Alpha 11 action will be running a TBAC Ultra 9. Thanks in advance.

Nice rifle! My favorite in the PRC is RL26 for precision, temp stability, and velocity with 140+ grain bullets. For 140-143 grainers, I'd look at loads around 56-57 grains of RL26. For 147-150 I'd look at the 55-56 range with Fed 210(M) all in Hornady brass.

Anyone have a case capacity comparison between Hornady and ADG brass? I've got a PRC on the way and ordered some ADG brass for it.

I use 56.2 rl 26 with 147's at 2970 FPS

57 rl26 140's at 3030

57.5 H1000 147's at 2970

58.2 H1000 140'a at 3010

All 210 primers and hornady brass which is good stuff.
I loaded and fired one piece 13 times when I first got the rifle.

Based on where my loads ended up for both Hornady and ADG brass, they are pretty dang close in capacity. The ADG case weight is ~224 grains and the Hornady averages around 220 grains. My accuracy loads ended up .3 less in the ADG.

Has anyone tried IMR 8133 in there PRC? I have 8lbs and cannot find rl26 anywhere, plus I live in the HOT humid south and have heard that over 85 degrees rl26 has went ape**** from several guys on the 6.5saum/prc FB page.

Never 8133, but the problems with RL26 above 85° are non existent as far as I'm concerned. I've tested stability in sub zero temps in mid winter AK to +100° in the El Paso desert without any problems after burning several dozen lbs of it.

I'm not saying people don't have issues, but they are obviously doing something different than I am.
