The 26 nosler is a super crazy barrel burner...one friend told me with his factory nosler rifle his 26 showed excessive fire cracking at 500 rounds. If you're only gonna hunt with it and shoot under 20 shots a year with it then that's not really a problem but otherwise you might want to rethink the 28...which is also a barrel burner just not quite as bad...

I have a 7mm barrel and a 6.5 barrel laying around. Was originally gonna build a 28 throated for 195's. Well custom reamer takes 6-8 weeks. I have all the parts for the gun so decided to build the 26 Nosler first while I wait for the 28's reamer. Gonna have two barrel burned plus my 300 RUM
