I am considering building a 6.5 PRC and would like to do it on a Defiance long action (not an XM) that I already own. I have heard of this being done but that there were frequently feeding issues when cycling from the magazine. My Questions:

Has anyone here ever built the 6.5 PRC on a long action? With a DBM? If so, what DBM did you use?

Did you have any feeding issues when cycling from the magazine? If so, how was it corrected?

Thanks,

I've built a few on Tikka long actions. One utilizing factory dbm, the other using 3.56" mdt mags. On a true 3.75" long action, I'd give HS precision a call. They make a long action magazine that has a rear spacer that allows loaded oal of 3.06". With some home mods you may be able to trim that spacer back and give yourself another 0.100" length in the mag.
