6.5 Grendel

I know it's not 8208, but I found a fantastic load for mine with AR Comp. 27.7 grains in a Hornady case with a CCI 450 at 2.250. Five shot groups cluster under an inch at 220 yards. My barrel is a SAAMI chambered Lilja 19". I found the CCI 450 is the key. I tried 41s and my groups opened.

I now only run 8208 in my .223 Wylde and NATO chambered ARs. It's a great powder.

What chamber spec do you have?

It is a 20" Shilen I ordered from Midway
I'm sure it is SAMI, I've only fired about 20 rounds
of the Hornady SST which it doesn't seem to like much
so I'm going to try A-Max and see what happens

I think he's asking if you have a Grendel, or Grendel II chamber.

I've had my best luck between 27.0 and 28.0. For me its been so forgiving of a powder that its hard to pick out the best powder charge in that range.
