6.5 grendel loads in a ruger American predator

CFE period. 130gr Sierra SGK tipped on top of 31-32gr CFE produce 2500fps in 18" AR. Very effective on hogs and deer out to 400'.....107 SMK second best pill, followed by 123 SST. 12" AR Pistol is the bomb for this cal good to 300'. Have tried all the other powders and 8208 is second best, just too slow.

8208 barnes 120gr tipped has killed loads of coyotes and deer for me I have 4 grendels and they all like the same bullet. I havent branched out much I did shoot some 95gr ballistic tips and they shot well but were loaded by Choice ammo. I got them from guy I bought one of my guns from.

Thanks guys for all the great imfo and advice so far
Powders are a bit limited here at the moment but I'm going to try 8208 and maybe one of our powders her made by ADI
AR2206 H
I'll post results as soon as I can
Thank you again from down under

I have also found the 8208 to be the best accuracy wise in my grendel, found higher velocity with h-4198 this is using the 99gr. hammer hunter I will be trying the new 109 absolute hammer next

Sorry about the hijack but when the 109 absolute come out? I just picked up a sample pack of the 123 absolutes for my Grendel.

You can hijack anytime you want to all information is greatly appreciated

I jumped on Hammer's site and ordered some of the 109 absolutes. I think this is going to be the ticket for hunting with the Grendel. I'm going to be working up some loads this weekend. Not sure when I'll be able to shoot them though.

We have been using the 123eldM black box factory ammo on Texas deer, coyotes and pigs out to 300yds. The results in that range is devastating even on big boar!

the 109Absoulutes would be a great choice but too costly for the volume of Grendel we shoot in a utlitiy type rifle.

I feel the 107TMK would be the best choice for the Grendel calculating weight and speed. Based on the TMK in other calibers it should be like lightning. So far the low cost of 123M Black box has kept me from reloading and the results on game dont leave me wanting.

Based on low velocities of the Grendel I would not try to make it something its not. Keep your shots in the 300-350 range. If you need to shoot farther pack a bigger rifle

Happy shooting!
James

Sorry for the long absence I've been so busy with other things, I did try a box of 130gr game changers with better than expected results.i got a top load of 28.5 gr of ar2206h which I think is the same as h4895, speed was 2550 over the chrono with no real pressure signs.
But I settled on a load which gave 2480fps shot into less than 1/2 inch
