H4350 is the go to powder! For me, I used 40.5gr with a 140 Berger, most guys are using 41.5-43 with 139-142 grainers. I will be trying about 43 or so grains next with the 130 Bergers. It is the easiest cartidge to load for that I have ever found, You'll love it!
I had better luck with 130gr Bergers than the 140gr Amax. I went to Hunter powder, gave more velocity and better SD in my rifle. Using LR mag primers. My rifle likes a lot of jump with the Berger.
Those are the only two bullets I have shot, both shoot sub .5 MOA. The Berger usually less than .25.
If for hunting I may go with RL-17. Almost as good accuracy, better velocity. But velocity varied by 25-30 fps where Hunter is single digit. H4350 was almost as good as Hunter but 100fps slower, again in my rifle.

A 6.5 bullet fired from an accurate rifle is an accurate 6.5 bullet in flight. Makes no difference what the brass case holding the powder was. The game I take with my various 6.5's know's not the name of the brass. If your Savage 6.5 CM displays the accuracy of my Savage 260 which I'm sure it will , you will have a smile. I use Win 760/ H-414 to drive the Barnes 120gr TSX to 3004fps. 22" Bbl, 1/8 twist.

140g berger elite hunter lapua brass cci 450 primers and rl16 42.3 g at 2866fps . 500 yards inch groups at 750 yards easy to hit an 8 inch plate and took it out to 1340 two weekends ago and hit an steel target of a figure of a person
H4350 is what im going to start with. Ill test 130s and 140s at first.

Varget works very well with 130gr and lighter. H4350 works very well with 120gr and heavier. My current load is Varget pushing 130gr Berger AR Hybrids to 2863. I put five shots into the .2s with that load a few days ago.

Me personally I like the Sierra 107gr HPs, that combined with a full case of Varget 45gr + or - is a good combo as far as speed, and they still have a half decent BC. It's the same load I use in my 260 Rem and My AI version with a few grains more added to the latter.

If u can find the magic stuff RL 26 u will get some speed! Using 4350 with 130-140 class bullets is the norm here and works very well also. I have found that anywhere around 42-43 gr 4350 with 140 class bullets seems to always be a node. As u can see pic below the RL26 with 140s is quiet a bit faster than the 2800 realm u are going to see with 4350.

H4350 is old news. Rl26 is made of fairy dust and impossible to find. Grab some Superformance and/or RL16 and enjoy higher velocities, great accuracy, amazing SD/ES and best of all...you can actually find the stuff on the shelves.
Believe it or not, I'm running a 130 Accubond on 36.8 grains of RL-15. I had to develop a quick load for the late doe season cause I got the rifle (Wby Altitude) for Christmas. I'll chrono it and work it up higher but it sure did a job on the 2 does I harvested with it and very accurate to boot!

Superformance with 140 to 143 bullets is accurate and fast in three of my 6.5 Creeds. RL26 is a myth. Never have seen it.lol
