6.5 creedmoor to 270 wsm

Re run your numbers at reality, 270 WSM 140 berger at 3300 fps, 150 at 3250 and 170 at 3000 fps.

What length tube are you using to get those #'s and what's your load data? Also is that on a long action?

When you go from standard bolt face to magnum you have to install a M16 or Sako extractor, ejector is fine. It's six one half dozen the other, personally I like to max out a WSM so I go with a med length action like a Tikka which won't need all the work a Rem will and gives you the ability to run a WSM like it should be BUT with bullets like a 140 class a wyatts box in a Rem will give you the room it needs to run real nice.

Are you familiar with this kit from Wyatt's?

If it doesn't add to much cost for the machining and it works as advertised, a SA Rem 700 that is capable of a 3.200 OAL would be a slick setup for anything based off the WSM using long bullets.
