Has anyone sent a 140 eld Hornady 6.5 creedmoor thru a chronograph? Doing trajectory validation on the eld 140 tipped factory ammo I have to input 2580 fps to get close to my actual moa to hit the target. My data on the rifle is correct and Hornadys info on the round is BC of .610 at 2710 fps. I'm shooting a suppressed 24" barrel with 1:8 twist. I didn't think the ammo would be that slow. I'm shooting 495yards.

Don't know if it will help, but I shot the 143 eld-x through my Oehler 35p, box said 2700fps, I was gettng 2740-2750 ave., shooting it through a brand new 28" Shilen barrel!

I had to check my data book.

I got to the range the other day, and my Chrony battery was dead...
I walked the factory 140 ELD M ammo out to 400 yards, and had to input 2700 fps out of a 22" barrel with a 2" brake.

I suspect your new barrel will run slow for a few hundred rounds.
One thing I noticed is the Factory ammo is on the hot side in my chamber. The primers are a lot flatter than I like to run my reloads...
