There is a very very very good possibility that I have killed more deer during the summer than most people kill during their lives. With many being killed with a 22LR, 17 HMR, and a 223.

There is also a very very good possibility that I put more rounds down range during the week than most people do a year.

So there's that.

Perhaps, but if that were true I would think u would be more educated on ballistics. And out of your original post 260 or 6.5 creed u picked a caliber like 22-250. Just saying your post said out west hunting rifle and that brother is far from an out west hunting caliber

wanting to build a hunting rifle for out west and the occasional pig. Ranges will vary from 100 yards to 800ish.

Thinking about using the hammer bullets or Berger target VLDs but not sure yet.

What the are the pros and cons of the 6.5 creedmoor vs 260 rem?

A friend of mine suggested the 69 SMK for deer and the 75 BTHP for elk and pigs.
