6.5 build

It depends on how much you are really going to shoot it, if your planning on hunting with it and your going to shoot it 20 rounds a year you really dont need to worry about barrel life, I built a 6.5X47 so that I could use it as a practice gun,I think it will go somewhere around 3500 to 4000 rounds, I shoot the 130 bergers at 2920 and the 140's at 2820 with a 28" barrel.
 
Another fairly neat 6.5 would be the 6.5RCM. I did some case calc's a while back, and it looks pretty good. I bet Sinarms could whip one up.

a 300 rcm necked down to 6.5, very intersesting for sure, they are pretty fast, short case, short barrel, imagine one with a 24" barrel, it would be like a 6.5/00wsm in a 28" barrel
 
.264win is certainly a nice round! But that's just too easy, where is the fun in rolling one of those up? gun)

A friend of mine had one of those for quite a few years, nice shooter.
