6.5 Barrel length?

I will be rebarreling a M70 chambered in 6.5-284 to 6.5x55 and would like to hear some opinions on what finished length would work best. I do not mind a long barrel.
Also have Lapua 6.5-285 cases and Forster dies for sale.
100 cases fired 4x,200 cases fired 1x and 100 new. $80

What are you going to use this weapon for? Would help with ideas of barrel length and what do you expect of this round?
