I want to use this bullet for a upcoming elk hunt in Colorado. I have a really good load with the 140 hybrid 63 grains of retumbo gets me 3330 through a 28" tube. I did the load workup with the 156's and retumbo and ended up with 62 grains being the absolute max but I'm only getting 2910 with this load. Is there something I'm missing here. I wouldn't have expected to loose so much velocity with this bullet/powder combo. I would have expected 3100 to 3150. Retumbo is usually my go to powder should I try something different?
