6.5-300: H1000 or 8133 loads for 127LRX (or similar mono)?

Searched the interwebs and didn't find much info regarding real world load data for this rifle (Accumark V) using temp stable powders (i.e. H1000/IMR8133). US869 is the speed king but, the temp instability and horrible ES/SDs have shown me it's time set that one aside and stop killing my barrel on a powder I'm done with.

In an effort to save some barrel life (pretty sure I've smoked half the life on this barrel in load development alone), does anyone have a solid load for the 127 LRX using H1000 and/or 8133 I can use for reference? I have looked at Hodgdons load data for their recommended max loads, hoping for real world reports though...

Thank you for the insight Capt Obvious. Again, hoping for real world data from folks that have already tested this bullet/powder combo. It's a little different doing load development on a huge barrel burner vs. a 308...

I won't be with my notes for about 10 days, I'll try and remember to post to this thread or PM you. I tried all three plus retumbo. I do remember that us869 gave best speed at 3390 and ES of 12 in my vanguard.

I'd personally start with a low charge of desired powder. With that light of a bullet with that big a case, H1000/IMR7977/N565 area is probab a good start at the 70-72gr area. Start off with a low charge, establish your seating depth first with 2 shot pairs till you get 2 very close, and shoot a 3rd to confirm. Once you have a known seating depth node, work your powder up in 0.3-0.4 grain steps. You'll find something the rifle likes. Retumbo/8133 are viable options.

Both are too fast. RL33 and H869 are the best choices.

80.0 g 8133 gave great accuracy @3450.

I hate hearing that the US869 did not work out. I just bought a Vanguard and 8lbs of that powder this summer. I couldn't find the other powders at that time, although 8133 and RL33 have shown up recently. Weatherby has a link to some reloading data on their website that shows a little hotter loads than what Barnes or Hornady show on their reloading data. I think it was published by Handloader magazine. Here's the link, interesting article. Us869 worked fine with the 127 for me I had it at 3400 and change. I switched bullets and powder. Accuracy was 3/4 In at 100 but anything of 80 and over 400 yards I saw inconsistent results. All depends on application on which you wish to use.

Bsnyder, those are my results as well with 869. 3448fps net the best 3 shot groups of 3/4" at 100 yards. ES between 40-50 and SD 30+... all with sound reloading procedures and high end equipment. Beyond a couple hundred yards, it's a shotgun. Going to work up to the suggested loads with 8133 as I have 8lbs on hand and like the temp stability.
