I am go to build a HB rifle on a Remington 700 on a H S Precision stock .I am looking at a Hart or a E A Shaw barrel. I shoot a 7mm-08 an I like results. But I need all the Info I can get on the 6.5 284 good or bad an how flat will it shoot. GOD BLESS

Redbone,
The 6.5-284 is a flatter shooting cartridge than the 7-08 in my experience. I have only shot targets and steel plates but would suggest the 6.5 if you want a flat shooter that will retain velocity. I have both cartridges and spend so much time shooting my .308's that I don't have much data on them.
