6.5-284 Norma 127gr LRX Retumbo Load Results

So I know this is old but I have a 6.5x284 I'm working up a load for. 26" Krieger 1:8 I think it a #5 heavy sporter. Any ways I'm 65 or so rounds down the tube and the only set I got to shoot was about 10tho jam at around 50 grains 4831sc. This is a hunting rifle and I can't use that in the field. Back to my question, isn't 4831 and retumbo a little to slow of a powder for 127grain bullets? I have 4350, 4831, retumbo, R26. And if I can't get Berger's or 143 eldxs to shoot better than an inch soon I'm guna try a different approach all together

Retumbo may be a bit too slow/maxing out case capacity. You should be fine with H4831sc or H4350, from a case capacity standpoint.

Here are several loads that have worked great for me in the past.

I may try 127 LRXs just to try them. I got 143s and retumbo to shoot somewhere in the 2920 range so I'm sure I can get 127s to over 3050. I know with a mono type bullet speed is the name of the game for optimal performance

So I'm shooting 49 gr. of RL16 with Barnes 127LRX in my 26" cooper, I've gone a little hotter and got 3140 fps but backed off a little, lapua brass shoots well
