6.5-284 load data

I have been reading about Retumbo and am wondering about what a starting/ max charge is. I have 143 and 147gr bullets, lapua brass.

start at 54 go to 58.5, might get pressure before that. Mine likes Low to mid 57s maxed out at 2984 fps with no pressure signs and an es of 7 and an SD of 2.8. 143 eldx

My rifles also run in the 3000FPS range with 57-58gr Retumbo, Lapua brass, Fed210M, 143 ELD-X, start a couple of grains lower.

This is a new cal for me and its been a bit tricky to find a load that shoots well

The 143 ELD-X was not all that sensitive to seating depth in my two 6.5x284's. The are both seated at .025" off the lands. Accuracy <.5MOA, ES <12 FPS.
